What works:	intel wifi perfect/ootb intel graphics almost perfect. see below. audio perfect/ootb (I removed pulse audio but only because I don't like it. no issues) suspend/hibernate perfect/ootb microphone and headphone jacks perfect/ootb
What doesn't work:	no direct rendering ootb.
What was done to make it work:	getting direct rendering was as easy as: sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri
Additional notes:	LMDE runs very swiftly on this laptop. I think it will be there quite a while :)
