Linux mint is easy and fun to use!

why not make a server version of it for mysql or apache?

a lighter and faster version of mint.

Mint is a desktop OS - it also lacks the developer resources to create new editions at this time, therefore I am marking this idea "Rejected"

@jordan4girl: You can use LAMP Stack - Web Stack (MySQL) or some other virtual appliance based on TurnKey Linux. It can be easily deployed on virtual machines, in cloud computing infrastructures or installed in physical computers.

Linux Mint is a desktop operating system so I doubt that will happen.

However, there is nothing to stop you installing all the server software you want, uninstalling all the desktop software and then remastering it and releasing it as Mint Server. Except it wouldn't be mint any more.
