Idea:

I have seen videos of how ubuntu arm can be installed at Android devices it is not for "human beings" is more for advanced users with a lot of patience.

A LMDE arm version can be compiled and even a Android app made to automatically install it.

It would be a great app that should have donations.

In a near future ATOM androids would also have its own version.

Of course I would put on it Gnome 3.2 or Kde for tablets more oriented to touchscreens.

LMDE at devices such as HP TouchPad + good an cheap - would be a great OS.

If it is done, I will buy several - at 99 USD - this christmas for presents.

I think @blueXrider 's comments also covered @mitcoes 's similar idea "Preinstallation at new PCs" very well.

Anyway, It doesn't seem the idea "LMDE on ATOM" rate with community members.

I cannot agree with your statement about Ubuntu. Here is an example of the latest "Natty" OS for ARM

http://trimslice.com/web/

http://trimslice.com/download/installers/ubuntu/ubuntu-natty-installer.img.zip

This is in development under Ubuntu:
-Ubuntu Desktop
-Ubuntu Server
-Ubuntu Core
-Kubuntu Desktop
-Kubuntu Mobile
-Xubuntu Desktop

Debian is much less active for the ARM architecture. Debian devel teams are having issues.

NO this is not an advertisement it is an example
