I think we should have as many flavors as we can handle. That's why I wish they try to get volunteers.

Estimated Once you get used to KDE, is really great, there are several ways to get things done. LXDE is also a great desk, has some things to improve, but certainly has a great future ahead.

KDE is the best desktop and Cinnamon is currently in his tail.
We tested KDE and when I want to make a setting, you have to look good through all of the menus you have.

When you look at Cinnamon or LXDE, so not many menus and submenus, so you can handle easily.

What ???? KDE desktop today is the best desktop that exists. KDE is not difficult, it does have is that it is very customizable, is the most comfortable there. I think just the opposite. It should be given much more importance with KDE desktop in Linux Mint. XFCE and LXDE can not be eliminated, because this desktops are very good, very good and useful too. Gnome 3 is an important shit. I Demote this Idea.-

I think the KDE version holds value in an important niche. It is through the KDE desktop that many innovations are discovered and utilised in the other desktops.

Right now (Mint 11 & 12) there are, 7 different Versions, witch is a good reduction in relation to the previous ones. There are 4 Versions of the Linux Mint (CD no codices/DVD, x86-32/x86-64) and 3 other ones, witch covers most of the needs for GNOME users. The other versions are community driven. As long as there is a community witch organises them, there is no need the disable this opinion.
In General I wouldn't ban any DE. Free Software means also to be able to choose from a range of similar software pieces and if you don't like a certain DE some other people might certainly do. The only reason for stop supporting a certain option is to prevent work for the distributor team
Beginners could start with the Main Version and get there own witch Edition they prefer. (I surely not prefer the KDE one).

Linux Mint 12 KDE is the first distribution I have used KDE. I find it very intuitive and easy-to-use. KDE is an excellent desktop environment and I think Linux Mint should promote it. KDE is also committed to Free Software (http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html), which is commendable. Windows users would probably try the main edition (soon-to-be with the Cinnamon desktop) as it will probably contain Mint4Win and will be the first download available. I am demoting this "idea".

I'm thinking in terms of a novice who recently came from Windows.
And faster to accommodate the Cinnamon or LDE than KDE.
I do not hate KDE.

Stating your opinion/preference does not make it an idea.

Man, why hate KDE that much??? I rather find it easier than gnome shell, dear. The thing is, things are changing all the time and KDE is improving day by day. And, personally, I don't think people should judge something that he never faced, actually.

I think Mint team has no resources to develop another edition.
