This is a good idea. I'm sure they are doing their best in this, surely they are always looking for people who are competent and willing to help :) for support, i am promoting

Agree with niniodelmal, focusing on fewer versions is better.

Their is a point to having more then one version. Not every one likes the same thing. I for one like the LXDE version over kde, xfce, mate, CINNAMON, and debian. LXDE is a great easy, fast desktop, but I want to upgrade to a 64 bit version some day.

i think is better to point all the efforts into one polished main edition of mint, there's no point in having 8 versions.

I want to stress the point that this was about trying to get volunteers, that would not be paid. This way no one would be to hire people with the limited money the mint team has.

The idea is Really Very Good, but do not know if Linux Mint team will provide the accounts to trying to hire more developers and analysts. Given that apparently is a small team, but has a very big community, you could come to realize an effort. I do not know how far they you want to get the Linux Mint team. Would be an Excellent us to see a Linux Mint Debian KDE Edition, although it also we must go for Linux Mint 13 LTS (KDE, XFCE and LXDE editions). I Promote this Idea !!!!
