Idea:

I recently wrote a script for change my background automatically
(http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/997)

It was written for Mate but with some changes it can be used for Cinnamon or Gnome 3 Shell as well.

The idea is to implement this in the control center and make it a standard option in mate and cinnamon where you can choose in a graphical way the directory of the wallpapers and the amount of time when you want to change your background.

This is coming in in Cinnamon (hopefully 1.8) under the direction of glebihan. We removed it in 1.6 as it wasn't totally ready.

Marking as implemented since it's coming in shortly.

Options are always good. I would like a more definitive script eg: time variant between changes, stacking pics, randomize just to mention a couple of items. The concept is good though.

The Ubuntu Forum has this as a guide:

Nice

is it like webuilder?

Looks like a nice concept. I do not like auto changing of background, as mostly I have quotes on my wallpaper.

Though mint can add it in control center or in desktop preferences, it should not be activated by default.

Would stay neutral.
