Wes: 3.0.0-12 is installed in the ISO. I'll check to see if Ubiquity performs updates (it definitely shouldn't in regards to Mint QA). |

Sorry for absence as of late, being a truck driver in the U.S. really isn't condusive to iso testing, been home a total of about 8 days in the last 3-4 months. But, I'm downloading this now, and will try to get the testing done today, will get it completed by the end of the weekend at the latest. |

I will attempt to test this whilst on holidays. Looks like a great release as always. |

More on Test #021 Of course I'd expect problems since the new driver and xserver were corn-fused. But trying to restart was fun because all the menu items seemed to exist where they should be when selecting a diametrically opposed location. For example the restart selection in the KDE menu launched Firefox. |

#021 test Jokey crashed on log out. Logged back in, installed additional drivers, and re-tested. Note I didn't reboot the machine. Logout worked fine. Logged back in and had an interesting desktop. Everything was up-side-down. Good for those times that you just have to work while standing on your head. :-) |

Note: default location for audio Cd ripping is not in home/music; it rips to Home by default. Yes it is a nit and I'm sure there are just as many who would say don't choose the default for me. |

I don't know if this is a known issue or KDE change to the menu, but when selecting Applications --> System there isn't an arror on the LHS to move back to Applications from System. One can select Applications from the list at the top of the menu panel however. I don't use KDE much. :-) |

We're using a new compression algorithm (to fit more content in less space.. :)) so that might explain the time it took. KDE also, isn't easy on the resources :) I'll check for the kernels.. which kernel versions do you have in your grub then? |

Just one note about the install on the test rig with two disks and multiple partitions - i.e. a manual install. The installation went well but seemed to take longer - even for this desktop computer. After the reboot I noticed that grub2 listed Linux Mint 12 KDE with two different kernel versions. So it seems this KDE has a built in kernel update feature. |
