  • synaptic crash (to do with accessibility toolkit in gnome and favorites in kde)

Updated list of issues in current state of the edition:

  • mintinstall (though that's not specific to the KDE release)
  • Unbrand imagewriter and add it by default
  • The kernel is upgraded during install.

Thanks guys, approved for RC release.

Here's a list of things we should add/fix for the stable release:

  • apturl
  • mint4win
  • xdg config for home folders
  • login sound (maybe)
  • ctrl alt backspace
  • mintinstall (though that's not specific to the KDE release)
  • mintdesktop and fortunes
  • print to PDF (although it was marked as passed, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work)
  • Add a shortcut to Home between Show Desktop and Window List
  • Unbrand imagewriter and add it by default

newW2: I observed this as well in Cinnamon and MATE. I think it's an issue with mintinstal itself and probably aptd. Not a KDE specific issue.

Fred: mintDesktop missing is fine. Other issues are known to. No release blocker so far.

Note about the updates: I made sure the instaler didn't install updates, so that fine. Having said that, it does upgrade the kernel (which explains why the installation takes longer than usual).

The first time I logged in there was a red crossed icon up in the left corner saying the menu.."something".. didn't load.  But when I restarted after the update there is nothing like that showing up any more.

I will now try to do some ordinary test-cases, but I am still very suprised - the KDE-4 desktop is NOT what I am used to.  Should it be like this??

Now I have downloaded and installed, using UNetbootin.  I installaed to an ext4 formatted USB--stick as usual.  I noticed that installation time was a LOT more than I am used to. I installed to swedish location.

For a moment I thougt that installation failed (hung up) but finally it continued and finished.

I had to accept/reject the suggested keyboard without having the possibility to make any testing.

I wrote wrong when setting password and was noticed I was.  When I corrected the notice didn't disappear.  I had to hit the Install key (?) and continue to see if my editing was correct.

My wireless lan don't show up automatic, I have to hit the key "show more" (?) to find my network.

I was a bit suprised that the panel was at the top of the window...?  The menu-starter don't show up either..

Now I have updated and is going to restart an see if anything changed...

#035: Jamendo/Magnatune

Magnatune : Ok

Jamendo doesn't work so well, but maybe it's not a mint issue. Need to test on another platform
