OK, let's reject the ISOs then, this should be removed, it's a release stopper.

Yes Clem, kubuntu-netbook-default-setting is installed by default.

Would that be the KDE Netbook layout by any chance? Is this package installed in the ISO:

kubuntu-netbook-default-setting

In the responses to the RC-release, #45 cmrt says the same thing:  I tried running it on my Dell 9 Mini, with the same odd result: strange split screen, panel on top, application launcher missing.

I think  you must either do somthing about it or tell that this release is not suited for computers with small screens.

I tried a live session from an USB-stick on my little Acer Aspire One with a 10,1 inch screen.

It does NOT show up like a KDE-desktop this time either.   The panel is on top and still no start menu.

I can not test it on my Acer Aspire One, sorry.  It's still not usable for this little machine.  sad
