You can use the "search" command to find refs to Ubuntu:

search for ubuntu in .

I was positive that the one in the main edition says the same thing about ubuntu. This has to be hard coded somewhere as it's not in the .po files. The one in the main says uninstall wubi in the folder when installed.

DVD playback works fine on my machine without any settings change. Too bad they don't have a way for it to auto select the best option on 1st usage of the app. Settings for totem?

  • mint4win, not the correct version (you're supposed to use the one made available in the forums). This version works fine but isn't properly branded. It stills refers to "Ubuntu" when continuing the installation for instance.
  • DVD playback doesn't work well out of the box. The sound works fine. The picture takes time to appear and seems scrambled... editing the preferences for totem and setting the video plugin to X11 fixes the problem.

Overall it's excellent and it's going for an RC. Congrats Merlwiz.

I like to make sure the theme looks like the main edition. I also have added some gtk2 tricks to make it look better.(like no icon border on the desktop)

The volume control should work. You need to right click properties and select a different one to control.  Then close it out. Now reopen and select the master one.  Now it should control it just fine.

None of the Ubuntu Lucid and LInux Mint 9 has the CDrom in /etc/fstab. Not sure what they messed up.  Everything still auto mounts though.  I have had problems with the virtualbox ISO auto mounting before until I went and selected the ISO manually.

Glad you like it.
