@Rovanion: 2.6.32 |

And it looks like it's fixed :) Uploading the ISO now, give it 12 hours or so and it should be ready :) |

What kernel is currently running in the Debian Edition? According to my findings around the net the 2.6.34 should contain the driver. |

We finally identified the bug faced by Suhana, it's a critical one and it's reproducible. grub-mkconfig fails to set Grub up. No solution was found yet. I doubt the ISO will be ready tomorrow. |

I'm still making sure, but at first sight, it looks like I managed to fix all known bugs. Expect a new ISO in about 24 hours. |

License on Atheros drivers seems to prevent us from distributing them... sorry. |

Ok, one more ISO and we should be OK. I'll tackle these bugs asap. |

@Suhana: Yes, about the colors, that's ok, it's a simple fix for the live-session, it'll be done in the next ISO. |

@Suhana: That looks like a working-case output:
It finds the artwork (green background), and your two entries. This should result in a working grub...
Let me know if you manage to capture the output for a failure-case. I suspect in some cases, grub fails to configure (leaving you with the default Grub config and no green background) and I'd like to see the error message associated to that (not the one given by grub, but the one that should appear in the installer output when it calls grub-mkconfig).
Note: I cleaned Grub out in this ISO. There were reasons for it to fail in the previous one... in this one, I can't see any.

After that launched Rhythmbox and ripped audio tracks as MP3. MP3's playback was good. <!--EndFragment--> |

sources.list only has 4 entries. Should update test ifno to reflect this for future testers. As should apt policy, they differ from other Versions of mint. |

Apt policy passed but I am asuming no references for this Version of Mint will have 750. |

@clem: Sorry, passed out halfway through testing "All Applications". I'll test synaptic again when I do a localized install later today. @Rovanion: You're right about the address bar being fugly, but I did find the Linux Mint information in the "About" dialog after increasing the window size a little bit. |

@Kendall: Synaptic works fine, both after a French connected and an Irish non-connected installation. Should try a French non-connected install to force failure on the APT install of the French Firefox/Thunderbird to see if it causes that. |

Oh and also: For what ever method of getting propitary drivers to the users, you should include the Arthros R10 ethernet drivers. They are for the wired networking card in some laptops, specifically my Acer Aspire 5820TG. Without that driver included on the CD I'm also unable to venture out on the net to get other propitary drivers such as the Broadcom wireless driver :P Here's a link to the driver: http://partner.atheros.com/Drivers.aspx |

I just realized the installer could be run by simply typing: sudo live-installer

@Suhana: What's happening exactly? Also, can you send me a pastebin of the installer's output, I'm hoping it should contain some valuable info around the step where it installs and configures grub. |

Yep, /home/mint/.bashrc was still there. Will be fixed in next ISO. |

Trying to open Synaptic I get the following:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. |

Jamendo loads and plays fine. I had no luck with Magnatune. The plugin is there and loaded, but 15 minutes of waiting and it still doesn't register anything. On another note, I didn't install the bootloader (I have LVM partitions and I don't want to have to redo anything). The installer worked fine in that regard... just sayin'. |

Multimedia playback marked as success, but mp3 and ogg audio formats opened by default with Brasero. Not sure if this is cause for concern or not. |

Just curious, is there any particular reason why Rhythmbox thinks all "unknown" songs are "Let your body go" by Tom Wilson? ;)
Inserting a CD launched VLC instead of Rhythmbox with the error: Your input can't be opened: <meta content="1" name="qrichtext" /> <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" /> <style type="text/css"> p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; }</style> <!--StartFragment--> VLC is unable to open the MRL 'cdda://sr0/'. Check the log for details.<!--EndFragment-->
I tried this with both normal CD's and with burnt CD's and got the same result. Also, where is the option to rip to MP3? |

Correction, User terminal prompt was not green in the live image but is so after installed. Marking this one as a warning. |

User terminal prompt is not green, everything else in that department checks out ok. |

Reporting success on "apt sources" as what's listed is pretty much all inclusive though it's not reflective of what's listed in the test. Perhaps make a note in the test that the Debian edition has different standards for this sort of thing? |

Changes since last ISO: Critical fixes:
Other fixes:
Note: Installer should be run in terminal with "sudo /usr/lib/live-installer/main.py" to get as much info as possible. Happy testing ;) Clem. |
