Ok  Clem, thanks for the clarification. :-)

Sorry about the lack of info on this:

  • OEM ISOs are built from the USA/JAPAN edition, they come with no restricted codecs.
  • For that specific iso, because of the way oem-config works, I didn't mark oem-config as manually installed, so the result of "apt search ~M" can be disregarded here.

OK Clem this one looks good. Again about no risidual config files test if terminal output is ok for EOM ISO.

Ran OEM install then on first boot ran OEM setup then rebooted and system did allow me to choose local and create user. Seems to have worked as it should. I am not sure if there is anything that needed to be looked at for OEM install. I installed codes post install with app from mint menu. that worked fine as well.

May want to add specifics for testing critiria for testing EOM ISO's. :-)

On Jamendo/ Magnitune had to install codecs for this to work. I am assuming this is done this way since you will not know what country the OEM ISO will be installed in and are conserned of licensing issues. Let me knwo if this is ture. Test past and will change if this is not correct. Let me know Clem. :-)

Hey Clem on the No residual config files or auto-installed packages test I got this in terminal:

mint mint # history
    1  history
mint mint # apt search ~c
mint mint # apt search ~M
i A oem-config                      - Perform end-user configuration after initi
mint mint #

I am not sure if this is normal since it is the OEM install ISO. I have passed test until you can confirm if this is ok or not.
