You can probably just hide it from the interface. Either set its visibility to false, or call a hide() on it. |

I have updated 2 mint packages to fix most of the errors. install mnt-meta-kde and update mint-configuration-kde. I am still trying to remove the auto-login button in ubiquity without it crashing ubiquity. |

Just a quick note, the hostname isn't an issue. |

Well, would you believe it? Twice my 3G connection went dead on this HTTP download.. and in the end, after some 4 hours of waiting, the ISO's MD5 is matching :) Beginning to test. |

There might be a problem with mintsystem... I upgraded OpenOffice tonight, mint system restored the splash like it should but it changed my KDM and mouse preferances (single click on icons) back to default.... |

Some apps are not recognizing the Mint version of flash that is installed and bring up notifications that the plugin is available for installation. I set it to never remind me again. We might want to set this like this for the final release. |

Turned off the Nepomuk service, this is where the plasma desktop crash is coming from. It aparently takes too long for the system to stop this service and it produces the crash. Nepommuk is disabled by default anyway. |

I was able to fix full screen flash, screen savers and compositing in general! I installed the NVidea 270.18 driver from the xswat ppa repo! Desktop effects now works with OpenGL, the screen savers are not slow and choppy and flash plays in full screen again. Woo hoo! |

Oh, Apple trailers double buffer and full screen does not work. I can watch the trailers in full screen using Totem but I don't know if that is an ideal solution for some. Just thought I would throw that in there. |

One last thing. Flash will not work in full screen with my nvidea graphics no matter what I try.... Must be my hardware. |

I do not have an Intel chipset to test with. Intel works in 64 bit so it should work in 32 bit. Need confirmation on this one. |

Installing the "Hugin" package and all it's dependancies (32 packages total!) fixes the ExpoBlending application.... |

ExpoBlending is missing a dependancy and will not launch.
unable to find "align-stack-executable" |

DVD playback works perfectly in the supplied apps but as disscussed in the previous iso, they do not auto start. I do not see this as an issue and some might prefer this. |

Been trying pretty hard to crash the plasma desktop but since applying the upates and setting an emty session there have been no crashes. I have loaded up the memory use as much as possible to try and re-create the crashing but it seems solid now. |

I installed all of the level 3 updates on my own system, (not the one I am testing with here) shutdown and re-start is much smoother, no more plasma desktop crashes, memory use seems better and does not jump around so much.
I thought I should mention this because KDE 4.6.0 is new and does have some quirks. |

Experiencing occasional crashes on shut down and re-start from the plasma desktop. I saw where some people have changed their settings to start with an empty session and solved this, trying it out to see for myself. |

Passed mint4win because it is not going to be used in this release. |

Web links in Thunderbird are opening in Konqueror.... Weird, because Firefox is set as the system default. KDE bug? |

This looks very good! The rumors about kwin behaving better in KDE 4.6.0 are true! My NVidea graphics is working perfectly in this build. This is going to be a very good release!
We are in an ice storm here and I expect the power to go out if the weather keeps up.... |

i would wait to rebuild the isos until most of the tests have been done to see if anything needs to be done first |

The mint@mintkde is still in the live session, but that has been there for a few releases now. I now know i have to do an updaate-initramfs to fix this as casper.conf is correct. if you think it is important enough I can rebuild the ISOs and upload again. |
