Does the startupmanager test apply to KDE?, I do not see it installed. |

Attempted apturl test and got this repsonce when trying to install software: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (apt) isn't associated with any program."
Marked as failed. |

Was just curious if there was a way to move delete out of root actions. If not its fine but kinda of hidden and some users my not find it. Just a thought. |

Problems:
Verdict: Congratulations Boo. We can tackle these issues for the stable release and get this ISO out as RC. |

Note to testers about the residual config files: It's pre-install.... because Ubiquity installs a few things, so the result of apt search ~M should be empty before the installation. |

Failure: French installation --> KDM uses French keyboard layout, then log in KDE and the Keyboard uses a US layout. |

I didn't change the theme. That was happening 'out of the box'. |

I can not replicate any of the theme issues you have though the orange reminds me of a halloween (have to dl) colour theme or is it the honeycomb theme. did you change the theme to honeycomb and then back? it could be a problem with a theme. |

No residual config files or auto-installed packages -> http://imagebin.ca/view/tZe3zgt.html Chatted up Suhana about this, cannot replicate the issue... |

@ikey It is indeed an ATi Radeon 9700 with the open source Mesa 7.7.1 running. So we can disregard that issue then, but the two others withstand. |

When launching an application I do see a rather nasty looking from black to white pulsating box around the icon on the mouse, something that was present both in VirtualBox and on my real machine. Another thing I notice is that I do switch desktops upon scrolling on the actual desktop, a feture that I personally approve of and do not see the reason for removing. Tough there is no desktop switcher plasmoid apperent on the desktop nor in the panel. This plasmoid eases the understanding of having multiple desktops for a user and helps the user orient. Also, I had issues closing applications that had been grouped in the taskbar, they stopped responding and I was not able to force kill them in any way but to go to a TTY and execute a killall on them. |

One thing that I noted during the boot of the Live DVD was that a fresh database for ClamAV was being initialized: freshclam. Once I looked up the status of ClamAV in aptitude I saw that clamav clamav-base clamav-freshclam and libclamav6 were all installed. Is there any specific reason why ClamAV is installed and enabled by default, is that also the case in the Main edition. And further along, when are the scans being executed? Because as far as I'm aware, ClamAV doesn't have any daemon that runs in the background controlling all IO during runtime such as about all other Desktop anti-virus systems do. |

@Suhana: Yes, I might also add categories of tests. For FLV, FF integration isn't required, it just needs to play from the desktop. |

I am able too boot this revision in my VirtualBox, tough when the desktop appears it is with an error in the Desktop Folder plasmoid: The desktop protocole died unexpectedly. |
