@McLovin: I left Samba out to save on .iso space. It's not a well used framework in the "lightweight" editions for some odd reason. Not entirely sure what's going on with the mouse cursor.

1: Samba is not installed by default

2: there is no mouse control in the login screen

@McLovin, the iso is probably being put on the mirrors to be available for the community, that's why you can not get it from the link here.

ok, I was gonna download this and start in on the testing, (sry, been working on the KDE testing, and had some things to take care of), but everytime I try to download the file, I get a message saying the foles not, and when I check the server manually, all I can find the last rc.

Ok, I'm passing this one for RC2.

@Kendall, no I did not notice the blue screen before the wallpaper loads using gdm. Everything looked good on the 3 installs I did.

@exploder: Did the blue screen after the login manager show up with gdm?

@Kendall, sounds good! If we can get someone with an ATI chipset to run the last test we should be in good shape. Everything I tested looked real good.

@exploder: Thanks for testing. I was going to download and at least do the live image tests (don't get my other laptop back until tomorrow), but I'll just verify that she works on Intel chipsets.

It's all tested except for Intel and ATI chipsets. I don't have Intel and I don't want to keep taking my computer apart to try ATI, the pc has a NVidea PCI E graphics card I added and I don't want to break it by removing it all the time. :-)

I guess there is a difference. The navigation bar was yellow when I opened a folder as root. I thought the last iso used a red band but I might be mistaken. In any case, it seems fine.

Gave a warning for open as root because it did not change color anywhere so I knew that what I opened was as root. We already know about the permissions error and there is not anything we can do about that at this time.

@clem: Thanks for whipping this one up. I'll get on the testing as soon as I get out of the office tonight.

This is Kendall's last ISO with GDM added, themed and set as default. Hopefully this fixes the issue that people had when the live session was dropping them to console.

If you had this issue with the previous ISO, let me know how it goes with this one.

Let's also do a full test on this one as it's a candidate for an RC2 release.
