Well, yes and no. We definitely need feedback on MATE and we'll work hard on making it more stable and more full-featured, but in the scope of this particular release it's not meant to pass QA, most features in here aren't ready for MATE yet. mintMenu made it to MATE just in time for the release and there are still problems with themes and features missing.

The QA in here is meant for Gnome 3 and MGSE.

#042: Software Manager easy access:  If it is the same as "MintInstall" it's fine.

#046: Print to PDF:   Blank page.

#050: Printer Test Page:  Verified by real test-printing.  Only CUPS shown.

#026: Open as root:  It works, but no colour change or anything else indicating that I am now root.

Clem:  OK should I stop testing MATE?   I thought it was highly interesting because MATE is so much expected from in the blogs.   I do a pause now and wait for your answer what to do.

tux-sven: These are perfectly valid bugs for MATE, but note that MATE itself isn't part of this QA.

#037 MintWelcome:   MATE:  The welcome does not show up.

MATE:  Installing printer was not possible.  The system found my HP network printer and suggested the correct driver and I hit the continue button.  But after that a window named "Installable alternatives" showed up where it was possible to select "Duplexer installed", but I have no duplexer and there was no way to continue the installation.

#008: Terminal fortunes and colors:  When running MATE no forunes.  Colours are green/red as they should.

MATE:  One do not need to do anything to the panel before trying  to change panel background.  CPU raises to 100%  and "Panel properties" is visible in the panel but is not possible to reach at all.  Not Maximize or Close works.   Something must be wrong regarding to the panel program.

MATE:  From Mint-meny item, right-cllicking and selecting "Add to panel" does not work.  Nothing happends.

It's not possible to manage Bluetooth units from the MATE session.  No Bluetooth-program available.

Mate: I have the standad theme.   I added work-space-selector and power-off without any problems.  When I tried to change the panel-colour, CPU raised to 100% again.  The problem remaining.

MATE:  When opening theme selection window, the text  "This theme will not look like it was intended because the needed window-theme "Mint-X" is not installed." still appear.

Downloading, will substitute the ++ CD-version with the DVD-version and do re-test.
