Hello all

I'm a student in 3rd year of bachelor of physics at the University of Maine (France), i've taken the "on line" option, so all of my courses are available through the web and i have only to go in Le Mans 4 weeks per year. I have an acer aspire one a150. I was fed up of Windows XP or 7 "critical failures" and after having to format my hard disk 7 times because of virus, i decided to shift to linux mint, i've used the main édition but it was a little slowly, so one of my friends recommanded to me LMDE with XFCE as desktop environment and i'me now very satisfied with my netbook. It is fast, very stable (never crashed with me), have a little memory footprint (can load up to 20 programs without feeling a décélération), and i set up all of the softs that i need for my daily needs without any problem (iceweasel,google chrome, claws mail , scilab, maxima ,zsnes, dosbox...)
