GeForce 6150 LE

  Nvidia (Graphics/Video/TV card)
  Mint (older version)
  Works partially
What works:

Most things work normally on Nadia (Cinnamon Edition) with this graphics card. I can boot, log in, get to the desktop and use it.

What doesn't work:

Using the default, open source driver, very small graphical lag with desktop effects; this is expected since it's an older card. After a while, problems start to occur. Regular desktop use will cause more serious issues. Menus and bars disappear, windows will look solid-white and other graphical bugs occur. Shortly after this will cause the X server to stop causing the screen to go blank. I can usually run "startx" again, but the problems persist. Cinnamon 2D also did not work.

What was done to make it work:

I can simply log out and change the session to use Gnome classic rather than Cinnamon. Another way is to go to your Software Sources and use the latest experimental Nvidia driver. This may improve desktop usage and cut down on bugs.

Additional notes:

I would also like to note that Linux Mint with MATE works perfectly with this old graphics card, detects the card just fine and has no graphical bugs.
