Tried 64-bit Debian Edition. Live DVD boots, connects to wi-fi, surfs here.
Sound control panel, mute buttons, volume adjustment all work.

No brightness adjustment even when selecting Satellite s3000 in keyboard prefs.
When turning off/rebooting, it does not power-off automatically, must be force-shutdown.

t3400 CPU, gm45 chipset.
