What works:

Check the issue with IOMMU below. Otherwise everything works, including the 3rd party VIA VL805 USB 3.0 controller.

What was done to make it work:

You must enable IOMMU in the BIOS in order for the USB and LAN ports to work properly in Linux. In your installed Linux Mint environment, you can disable IOMMU by following:
