Inspiron N5110

  Dell (Laptop or Netbook)
  Mint (older version)
Works fine with some minor problems
What works:

It's easier to explain what doesn't

What doesn't work:

It depends, because I have a dual-boot 64-bit and 32-bit versions of maya on it because of USB wi-fi antenna problems with 64-bit.

No easy way to disable touchpad when using a mouse. Tried both 'touchpad' applets from spices. Nope. (one works kinda 32-bit)

Sound always defaults to HDMI, and I have to set the hardware and output each boot / login to Built-in Audio.

Bluetooth: I have Bluetooth headphones, (LG HBS700) bluetooth finds them, says they're setup, but they never show up in Sound settings hardware or output so they don't work. (Haven't researched it, so maybe there's a fix.

HDMI?? Plugged in a TV, it gets a signal, tried to watch a video but NADA. So... need to reasearch it.

What was done to make it work:

For the touch pad, wrote a 1 line script to turn it off when using a mouse:
xinput set-prop $(xinput -list | grep 'PS/2' | cut -b 55-56) 'Device Enabled' 0

Scipters Note:
I need "grep" in the script because the id isn't static, it changes from 13 to 14, usually after suspend, but even on startup there's no guarantee which it will be.
