I installed ZorinOS GNU/Linux distribution to the laptop and Manjaro but Linux Mint not installed. I have written to MSI to write a new bios to fix this problem. MSI write to me like this: "Thank you for contacting MSI Customer Service! Sorry to confirm that MSI only provide BIOS for Windows OS since we shipped Windows OS. And about the NVIDIA driver, please try to refer to below GeForce website to confirm VGA drivers. http://www.geforce.com/drivers Sorry for any inconvenience that the notebook brought to you."
|What doesn't work:|
I use GNU/Linux for 12 years. For that reason, I bought a freedos laptop. But Linux is not installed on this computer. Because, Nvidia graphics card, defined as 3D controller.
|What was done to make it work:|
Linux Mint 16 installed with the option nomodeset: http://getgnu.org/gnulinux/gnulinux-ipuclari/dizustu-bilgisayarima-gnulinux-kuramiyorum.html. And immediately I installed Bumblebee and Primus. Then I started using the system seamlessly. http://forum.debian.org.tr/index.php?topic=1924.msg3602#msg3602
