Printing and scaning functions work very well.
I get this error message:
"kernel: [275728.276285] usb 1-8: usbfs: process 30377 (demond_nscan) did not claim interface 3 before use"
It keeps filling up my /VAR/LOG/KERN.LOG and SYSLOG with this
message. These files get really huge.
Surprisingly, I was able to use this device with the Mint 9 driver, found on the Lexmark support site.
It was relatively easy to setup both printing and scaning functions.
For the error message: I have to manually purge these files, when I
have finished using this device. Then, I shut it off.
I'm sure that is a driver problem. (Probably an outdated one)
I'm very satisfied of this hardware. Got it on a discount sale. It will easily replace my old, Windows-only, Canon Multipass F60, even if I
have some problems. I can live with them.
I'm still searching a way to solve them.
