Everything works, keyboard incl. special keys, USB mouse, trackpad, internal and external HDDs, DVD drive, both internal Intel and external Nvidia graphics, wifi, speakers, CPU turbo, USB sticks, printer, battery, ethernet ... Didn't test bluetooth, microphone and webcam but I assume they work because they are correctly recognized and matching drivers are installed.

I'd like Linux Mint to be more laptop-friendly. It takes some time to configure the correct way in order to extend the battery life and reduce overheating and noise. Cinnamon desktop takes much longer to load at login than Xfce (and LXDE). The Cinnamon edition works well with default desktop and Xfce4 or mint-meta-xfce. Xfce edition works well with default desktop and cinnamon or mint-meta-cinnamon.
