Custom Built (Pentium 4 3.2GHz HT)
  Mint (older version)
  Works perfectly
What works:

Installed Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 32-bit and Mint 13 Xfce 32-bit. Performed essential updates. Installed Chrome. Under Wine installed Battlefield 2142, Storyview, Screenwriter.

What doesn't work:

Lightwave 3D installed and runs but in demo mode. The USB dongle isn't recognized by the system under Wine. No fix. Will likely install LW3D on my second computer under Windows 7 64-bit (I did install Synfig on this computer and it runs great).

What was done to make it work:

- Originally Mint 17.2 Cinnamon had graphics problems. Was able to get working by installing Mint 13. Found out that the old temp graphics card was too old for 17.2 support. Upgraded card, problem solved.

- GRUB menu text was too small to read and could change anything. Discovered that since Mint 13 was installed after 17.2, GRUB changes must be made through Mint 13.

- Battlefield 2142 wouldn't run under Wine. Discovered the problems to be original server support, game updates, and changes to default server.
