  eMachines (Desktop computer)
  Mint (older version)
  Works partially
What works:

For the most part users apps install and run o.k.
I can't tell much about the system tools this early in the game.
( I've had Mint installed for about a week as of this writing.)

What doesn't work:

There have been serious problems with Video, and even the desktop display, right from the beginning. DVD and other video's stored on or played locally on my P.C. dont play at all well. Video track freezes and skips constantly at first, then just totally locks up. Oddly enough the sound track continues to play when this happens. flash videos embedded in webpages play fine. ( which kind of sux since those are mostly ads.) Online streaming divx or mov videos dont play at all.
Some games wont run because the video sequences crash.

What was done to make it work:

Still Don't have it working. Any help would be appreciated.

Additional notes:

You wouldn't believe what I've gone through trying to fix the video problems on this machine. 3d content creation is the biggest part of what I do, so I need test videos and other videos to run perfectly.
The onboard Video device on this PC is a Nvidia Geforce 6150 video device and I've Installed and removed the drivers several times...added libvdpua1 codec , and adjusted the settings for the display...all with little or no improvement.
