  Asus (Laptop or Netbook)
  Mint (older version)
  Works perfectly
What works:

The entire system functions, Touchpad has basic features, Card reader works fine,Default Intel Video works fine, WebCam works with Skype correctly, Volume up and down via function keys and screen brightness controls work as well. Overall its a great running system with Mint.

What doesn't work:

The multi gesture feature on the touchpad do not work by default. The default Intel video drivers is all you can install or if you install the nvida driver it defaults to the nvidia card and wont load X. Also by installing nvidia driver it uses the nvidia instead of the intel card thus using considerably more battery power. If you take the time to read the Debian wiki on installing Bumblebee for Optimus graphics the CPU runs about 14c cooler and you can switch between the 2 graphics cards. I also had to utilize a special pm-suspend script found here,, now my system will suspend. I also had to create a wifi script and the how to is here, It seems this works for many laptops. YMMV Good luck.

Additional notes:

The default install of Maya runs wonderfully. Display is crisp and easily adjusted. Skype worked with no special configuration, I just installed it and the camera and mic worked. Wifi was working correctly as well. Over all I would call the install a great success and the minor things like the touchpad gestures are so minor that I can find no real faults. Thanks for the great experience!
