Mint (older version)
Works fine with some minor problems
Video works in Cheese, microphone was tested under volume preferences and was shown to respond to the sound levels of speech.
What doesn't work:
Skype was having trouble using the webcam. When taking video in Cheese on the higher resolution (of two settings) frames skipped frequently. Lower resolution changed the color (light blue appeared orange, yellow appeared light blue, etc.), but provided smooth video.
What was done to make it work:
Only needed to download and install Cheese to prove it was working, and plug in the device.
This is the silver colored EyeToy made for the PlayStation 2.
Sure beats having to find and install drivers for Windows XP as the person from whom I borrowed it said I'd have to do. I'd take plug-and-play, any day.
