I love e17, but the problem with it is that there are no skins for Firefox, OpenOffice and Nautilus for it. Ubuntu have stopped with developing e17, it would be a blessing to start e17 edition!

I voted for this since some distros still insist on creating only x86 editions.

I tried E17 when it was newly released and to be honest, I didn't like it. I can see why people do like it though.

Have you considered setting up your own Enlightenmint community respin?

Then you wonder why it was stopped. Possibly not a good idea!

I have tried E17 once, but it seemed that E17 can't manage Asian fonts well.

After set system language to Japanese and reboot, all of character which should be shown in Japanese changed to enumeration of white rectangle.

Even e16 is good too and stable to boot.
What then becomes a problem is theming it and making it a well-rounded desktop. For e.g. by default key bindings don't detect special buttons for volume increase but that can be configured.
It would be great if an admin could bring this up as enlightenment is a great UI as a Desktop but still uses the basic gtk apis for the apps whose basic settings need tweaking to "enlighten" the desktop.
More later.
By the way, if we do make a live cd which runs on e16 can we host it for testing here?

There is another identical idea, where people consider developing it.

You are right, there is also the http://linuxmint-art.org/ website.

@Alexio you didn't discover America, the thing is obvious, the idea is to change that. Also, I found e17-stuff.org quite poor, and Mint developers are/have so good artists.

Until there is an official Linux Mint e17 edition, there is the just released Macpup Foxy 3 available at http://macpup.org/
