Revive 'Points System'

It seems Mint Community languished lately..., Why?
I guess because 'Points System' has been dead for over 1 month.
I know we community members should do activities for contributing to Mint distro and Mint Community, not for only getting points.
But it is the fact 'Points System' had been encouraging members to do activities in this community.
So I would suggest 'Points System' should be revived as soon as possible for re-activating Mint Community.

And I completely agree with your opinions.
I also think Points System had been working well for this community.
Points systems are not required for the operation of an online community imo, but they do make a massive difference. Usually for the better.
Humans tend to be competitive, even when co-operating. Humans also respond well to a little "attaboy" for what they do and a points system does fulfill both tasks very nicely.

Mint Community has 'Users' module which is linked with 'Points System', and Mint Forums doesn't have something like 'Users' module.
Truthfully it was interesting for me to see Users' module everyday, however doing activities in community is not a competition.

It was interesting to me that 'XP Points' reflect my activities, and it let me more and more be active in community.
Points System is just a little bit of fun, but I believe it has the power to activate this community and make this site be kept exciting as @compuman2004 said.
I was wondering why I have 0 points even though I have posted comments and ideas. I concurr.
