So install it on the live DVD.
If I understand this proposal, I disagree. Gparted should always be run from a live CD/DVD in order to change any partition safely. If run from an HD installed O/S, one or more partitions will be locked or active.
Mint is slow to install high scoring ideas.
10 moths with high scores. Aprove this idea.
What does it take to get approved, Its been 8 months with high scores.
This is a no brainier that should be approved already.
Its time for this idea to be aproved.
whats the word?
So is this going to make it in Linux mint 14?
That's good to here.
Will this be approved yet? It has a very positive score for the last 2 month.
P.s.
I don't even know who you are.
P.S.
I hope @clem would become to place a special emphasis on this community website.
One aspect of Linux mint is that some things move slower then they should.
Can we get this idea considered at least.
Any news on this?
I agree with quake0; I can't see any reason why gparted shouldn't be installed. It's a great program, and doesn't take up much space.
To the two people that voted against this. Can you give a reason why?
Gparted is also useful for USBs and external drives,
and more user friendly then command line tools for partitioning.
