Sort out the software manager

The software manager has a big problem for me that it's designed to solve - it's not easier than synaptic!

What do I mean?

If I want to install 4 or 5 bits of software (as I do every reinstall), I have to punch in the administrator password for every last bit of software I want. If I waited 5 or 10 minutes between each install, I'd understand, but if I want to install Blender and Inkscape I'd have to click through the menu and then type it in twice.

In synaptic I'd only do it once.

I know this came in from Ubuntu, but how about we show them how it should work?

Good idea but I find synaptic the best thing to install software.

Stel, my apologies. I stand corrected.

LM software manager did not come from Ubuntu. Actually, it was a Linux Mint innovation, which was later "copied" by Ubuntu.

But i agree with your idea.
