[buttons] Promote Mint community

I would like to promote the Mint community to other people and I would like some cool graphics in order to do that. Can you minty people create a graphics pack of banners & buttons of most popular sizes so we can show-off and gather people in here? :) I'd love that.

Here are a few size suggestions, based on the Interctive Advertising Bureau's "most used":

Width x Height
300x250 (Medium Rectangle)
180x150 (Rectangle)
728x90 (Leaderboard)
160x600 (Wide Skyscraper)
300x600 (Half Page Ad)
120x60 (Button #2)
88x31 (Micro Bar)

These are the guidelines. :)

Although the following size is on the "least used" list, I would use it on my website because it fits very well in my side bars:

125 x 125 (Square Button)

I am currently promoting Firefox with a button of that size and it's both large and small enough to do its job without getting in the way.

Still not what I had in mind. I hope this will get reviewed by the Mint team and maybe get done soon, because we now have the official graphics for Isadora and the buttons could be easily adapted from that image.

Indeed. That's what I had in mind. A full set of banners designed by the Mint team.

I see the forum post Alexio posted, but I think it would be a good idea for the art team to create a standard set of buttons/graphics. That way all of the users and promoters are using the same images so it looks more uniform and neat.

You're right. They might've voted "blank". I don't even know why that button exists.

The existing banner offer is poor, plus they're quite different. If the Mint designers would go for this idea and start making a pack, they should all be with the same design. Thanks for the pointing me to that thread, anyway.

I voted +1 and I think there could be the other 2 "I don't care" votes...

Can people please explain their negative votes? Why would anyone bother to vote against Mint getting promoted through volunteers?! Ain't that strange?
