Idea:

I suggest new soft green themes and wallpapers that match Linux Mint official website colours, Like OpenSUSE does. I have come across a theme called ENERGREEN on noobslab that matches these criteria. Wallpapers should have something like mint leaves and soft green colours. Cinnamon default theme should match Mint-X theme and should not be black and that to give a sense of visual harmony and perceptual continuation.

I have edited Mint-X here http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=153977

There's a great Cinnamon theme called "Mintyfresh" that matches these criteria. You can find it at http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/themes/view/152. What's missing is a GTK theme like energreen's.

Agree, and promoted. However, I would very much like a built in theme customiser which can select panel and gtk colors, fade effects, borders, transparency etc so that I can customise right from my log in screen to the desktop.

If u make it just green, someone using kde might want everything blue. Also just using the default panel themes is insufficient as the gtk themes do not match or do not come pre-installed.

True @remoulder it's an opinion I like the idea of having the default theme more "mint-flavoured"
