Disk Encryption improved by external key storage

When you encrypt your hard drive, I think that the encryption key should have the option of being automatically loaded from an external usb disk at boot. That way you could use a strong key without having to type it in every time at start-up.

Just put /boot on external USB stick. That's an unencrypted part of your installation anyway, and the Linux kernel is on there. Full-disk encryption isn't secure from local attackers unless you do this anyway.
