Would be helpful if all packages showed the degree of safety in adding to a system (as in the update manager), and disk space used, and unsatisfied dependencies, and a cancel button which could back out both the package and any dependencies.


Case in point: Gradio caused unsatisfied dependencies to be installed which took many times as long to install as Gradio itself, and there was no way to stop the installation. Nor, I suspect, was there any removal of the dependencies installed with the removal of Gradio. Nor info about Gradio's space requirements.

Great idea. I'm amazed no one in Linux Mint World has thought of that yet.
