Fix the Bootscreen Resolution for Mint 12

Fix the Bootscreen Resolution for Mint 12.
This is a somewhat serious issue, after all, branding and polish are key for any OS. If it's a Plymouth problem, ditch Plymouth, and head back to Usplash.
Don't vote it down if you can't give me a good reason!

Update: Still present in the new Mint 11.

Life has moved on and now there isn't even a boot screen! (Idea already in Considered). So, sorry...

There are workarounds but we shouldn't have too.

This is not hard to do if you're not against reading some tutorials....

Yes, actually it is a small problem, if install the company-specific drivers
Control center has a point: StartUp-Manager, what is a menu item to resolve the problem.
Default placed be 800x600 resolution, what can be changed. However, the maximum I could not ever put (Out of range).

Yes, I also agree. Hopefully this will be fixed in Linux Mint 10!

Yeah, I agree. If this still exists in Mint 10 (although I hope they've taken care of the issue), then we're expecting brand new users (probably not used to searching forums yet) to search out a fix for an issue that's been known about for a long time and is easy to solve. That is sort of ridiculous.
