Install Latest Cinnamon 1.6.4 in Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal/Ubuntu 12.04 Precise and Cinnamon 1.4 in Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric/Linux Mint 12
Cinnamon team released new version of Cinnamon with many bugs fixes, theme improvements, enhancements to the bottom panel, also include cinnamon setting manager. Latest Version is a maintenance release which adds polish and tackles important issues from the previous release.

To Install Latest Cinnamon in Ubuntu 12.10/12.04/11.10 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install cinnamon

@esmobg As this is not a default repository you should ALWAYS include references so that everybody can verify that the PPA is legit and that the code is safe.
You would not trust anyone in your door would you? I would not at least not without proper credentials. Installing from an unverified PPA is likely safe but can also be giving your house keys and bank card away....
Trust is something earned.
1st ->I installed cinnamon 1.6.7 almost 1 month ago so 1.6.4 is not latest one.

Second shouldn't this possibly belong in Cinnamon?
Third and most important. There is no verification regarding the PPA. Installing software as superuser from an unverified source is EXTREMLY dangerous
