How To Close A Program That Has Frozen

1. If you haven't added the "Force Quit" panel applet to your taskbar, right click on an empty part of your taskbar and select "Add to Panel..." then type in the search box "Force Quit" (without the quotes) and then select "Add".

2. Then move it in front of the "Show Desktop" applet.

3. When an application freezes, click on the Force Quit and then click on the unresponsive program.

If you already have it in your panel, simply click it and click on the unresponsive program.
