I am basically a very shy 42 year old aspiring computer geek. I am already a geek, but computer geeks are so much cooler. I like to read all kinds of fiction except romance novels (they aren't even books to me), I love working with computers, especially Linux because it is always throwing me for a loop, and I really, really, really hate Microsoft. I want my computer (HAL) to do what I say not the other way around. Plus, this way I know if it was user error or just crappy software. 

I like to cook, watch movies (again no romantic comedies, romantic stories, yes, jus not the comedies), other than that I will watch almost anything. My all time favorite movie has been "Apocalypse Now" for most of my life. It's what I watch when I feel like flinging my keyboard. I like bicycling....I am noticing a pattern here.....every thing I like to do can be done with or without people. Convenient when you are shy. Anyway, I digress. 

Basically, I am a person in thier 40's with a very dry and sometimes morbid sense of humor; who likes working with computers; who believes that if a person doesn't learn one new thing everyday, that day has been wasted; who likes the rock of the 70's, seriously dislikes most of the stuff that came out n the 80's (except Jane's Addiction, and the beginnings of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains), and likes 90's alternative. I am actually pretty boring; I seem to notice that every time I write one of these "get to know people" types of things, I am straight up boring. Maybe I got it out of my system when I was younger?
