Same as in MATE edition, there's a config for plain GTK+ greeter which is not installed.
New mintdesktop also has Terminal tab removed, so in Xfce there's only Windows tab, and there's only one setting in it (Window Manager). This looks kinda weird...
Now that MATE compatibility plugin is enabled, Compiz has Alt-PrintScreen shortcut (which isn't in xfwm it seems). It only produces a warning message about mate-screenshot command missing.
Alt-F1 always invokes some kind of context menu for the desktop, even if some other window has focus (e.g. terminal). No idea if it's the desired behavior or not.
Same problem in live mode as in MATE edition: screen resolution is 1024x768 and can't be adjusted to fill the Virtualbox window. This is weird because vboxvideo and vboxguest kernel modules are actually loaded. The problem doesn't happen after installation.
