We found an issue which needed to be fixed. In localized installations, the language packs weren't installed correctly. This is now FIXED and new ISOs were generated to replace these ones.
#040: mintUpdate
Everything is up to date in the ISO, so to test this I added the LibreOffice Fresh PPA and updated that. Everything went correctly, as expected.
#028: Themes
Advanced -> Mint-Y-* show previews of folders with the ribbon that got removed
"#020: Ctrl, Alt, Backspace" revealed that on each login in the live session, a new mount is done for the live medium. This screenshot shows 4 mounts after each login: https://i.imgur.com/6ux4QAZ.jpg

For the kernel, there are so many changes, it really is a bit of a lottery.

OK Sorry, we'll go ahead with these. QA continues. I'll make a list of the applied updates.
enyc, don't test too fast.. I think we might get new ISOs. These picked up updates from Ubuntu since BETA.
To clarify: ZFS (not encrypted) does NOT any more seem to have trouble with misidentifying root, i.e. that seems to be ''fixed'', though have not tested encrypted ZFS.
All else looks good to me afaict.
Odd but annoying bug with Installer:-
Get as far as the 'Install Now' button -- press that -- lists the changes about to be made. If you pressed this by mistake or change mind and click "Go back"..... hit a snag.
In the resultant state "Install Now" then gets greyed-out and cannot proceed even if you re-select options above, have to "go back" again, then forwards twice to get anywhere...
Installer does not warn user that ZFS is experimental (release notes...?). -- r.e. timeshift bug and otherwise?
