4pane
As well as standard file manager functions, features include support for nfs sshfs and samba, archive management including virtual browsing, multiple renaming of files, user-defined tools, a terminal emulator, and gui access to grep find and locate. Almost all actions, even deletions, can be undone and redone.
4pane aims to be highly configurable, fast and fully-featured without bloat.

4pane version 8 runs on Linux Mint 21.2 Xfce out of the box only if started from command line by root. A work around is to create as root the required directory and change its owner to the user. It supports descending into content of archive-files and allows to colorize the layout of the shown panes. Installation from source was easy and went OK after a download of a huge number of missing development libraries (./config will tell you which ones are missing)..
