This app is developed and issued by the German government to be used for online authentication with electronic German ID cards and residence titles. To use this app, a supported RFID card reader or compatible NFC smart phone is required.

I use this in conjunction with a ReinerSCT cyberJack RFID komfort, the German electronic ID card, and an HBCI card to log in to BundID and online banking. It works flawlessly; I haven't had any problems with it so far.

A port in the firewall needs to be opened. Use this command: sudo ufw allow 24727/udp
