This Ubuntu repository is outdated most of the time. Microsoft holds its own repo for code. See: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/setup/linux

I followed the guide at vs code main page, setting it up for linux and now my vs code setup, doesn't let me use the gdb debugger, i fails to start with an internal error messsage, quite annoying, worked perfectly when I used linux mint 20 with the same setup
