A unique, open source Minecraft launcher that allows you to play your favorite mods, and keep them up to date, all in one neat little package.
Modrinth App is the easiest way to install and play content from Modrinth with whatever Minecraft version or mod loader you'd like. With first-party support for shared instances, friends, and Modrinth Hosting, Modrinth App aims to make playing with friends just as easy as playing singleplayer.
You can sync your settings across instances, making it quicker than ever to jump right into a new modpack. Browse for servers and join them (yes, even modded ones) with just a click. Customize and switch between your skins, with added support for the Ears mod! View all your screenshots in one place, and manage your Modrinth Hosting servers all without ever leaving the app.
Aside from occasional oddities when uploading a map on a personal instance, I do not notice anything strange so far. Improvements like previous reviewers should be considered, and the fact it is incredibly slow after a minute. Regardless, it works
Slow, but you can get used to it. After some time launched into a gray screen and did nothing. Had to install the DEB - works fine now.
Modrinth on Linux is a mess. When I originally downloaded it about a year ago, it was extremely slow and would freeze up. Now it's just a gray screen that I can't interact with. If you really need the launcher, I would NOT recommend the flatpak app whatsoever. The AppImage and DEB work...fine, they just will sometimes crash when editing a profile (and you also need to force Sudo privaleges to update it, which is bothersome). If you don't want that, just use Prism Launcher.
It's super slow, laggy, and the longer it's on the worse it gets. Just sitting there doing nothing it uses anywhere from 2.5 to 3.8 gigs of ram, and 5-8% cpu. Literally doing nothing and it's taking up that much resource to barely function.
When I install it and try to start it, I just get stuck on a white screen, but it works with the .AppImage file from the website.
