NOTE: This (community) flatpak currently has issues with distros that use a patched version of pcsc-lite, like Fedora 37 (or older). DON'T report this to Yubico.

Generating Open Authentication (OATH) time-based TOTP and event-based HOTP one-time password codes, with the help of a YubiKey that protects the shared secrets.

Features:

  • Add a credential by scanning a QR code on the screen
  • Favorite your most used credentials for easy access
  • Keep your secret seeds safe by storing them on a YubiKey
  • Require a touch on YubiKey to generate the code
  • Protect your credentials with a device password
  • Connect an external smart card reader and use the YubiKey over NFC

Just in case anyone else notices this app not launching or breaking after a "apt update && apt upgrade" i had to remove this app and reinstall it. After the upgrade, the authenticator would not launch. Attempting to launch within a terminal i got the following error "** (authenticator:2): WARNING **: 14:06:37.551: Failed to start Flutter renderer: No available configurations for the given pixel format" After the upgrade it seems that removing the authenticator and reinstalling it fixes some of the linked dependencies and its gtg (for me at least)

Works great! Just make sure to install Pcscd from the Software Manager so that your accounts can be read.

[SOLVED] Been working with Yubico support for about a week now so listen up this could save you time if you're having the same issue. The issue for me was, the software would install, but when I went to click the 'Add Account' button after adding a QR code (or inputting code manually), it would say "unknown error". If this is your issue, read on. It turns out Linux Mint XFCE (I can't speak for other versions) doesn't come with a required service pcscd installed or started. To check if this is the issue for you, type in the command: sudo systemctl status pcscd.service - If it's not installed, you'll need to do so. To install on Mint and other debian Linux variants, use the command: sudo apt install pcscd
