It is not the latest eclipse version. Also, it did NOT completely uninstall when I tried to remove it. Ugh.
It doesn't work. I get the typical error. The same error I got with Kubuntu. I downloaded eclipse directly from the website and on Kubuntu it works. On Mint, it does not. Go figure.
This is just an ad of pack. You have to use the actual version, it works fine with latest Java, has many free and fresh plugins, and well localized too. The same I can say about many other programs in the Program Manager - first check the manufacturer site!
Don't understand why this is the 2012 version of Eclipse. Oxygen available for Linux from Eclipse's website.
For me way better than intellij for java development and free, don't use this repo go to the site and install the latest version directly.
Not the biggest fan of Eclipse anyway but the fact that all Debian-based distros seem to be using ancient versions of Eclipse is a bit of an annoyance.
The best ide for Java development but it's an old version. Please update to a newer version!!!
