It doesn't work. I get the typical error. The same error I got with Kubuntu. I downloaded eclipse directly from the website and on Kubuntu it works. On Mint, it does not. Go figure.
It doesn't work on my laptop with Linux Mint 19.1
This is just an ad of pack. You have to use the actual version, it works fine with latest Java, has many free and fresh plugins, and well localized too. The same I can say about many other programs in the Program Manager - first check the manufacturer site!
Install from offical site , this one is very old version
this version is no longer supported since java 8
Don't understand why this is the 2012 version of Eclipse. Oxygen available for Linux from Eclipse's website.
Very old version!
For me way better than intellij for java development and free, don't use this repo go to the site and install the latest version directly.
Not the biggest fan of Eclipse anyway but the fact that all Debian-based distros seem to be using ancient versions of Eclipse is a bit of an annoyance.
Older Version !!
The best ide for Java development but it's an old version. Please update to a newer version!!!
I like Eclipse but this version 3.8 is Indigo (from 2011), its too old.
Outdated! This version is really really old..
