Egoboo is an open source project, using opengl and sdl(simple directmedia layer) libraries. it is a 3d dungeon role playing game in the spirit of nethack. nice colorful graphics, and detailed models(using quake2 modeling tools) make this game stand out in the gaming open-source community.

The controls doesn't work properly, even when I try to change them for other keys. So, I can't play.

(Mint 12) It just doesn't run properly on my laptop (Acer Aspire 6920G, dual-core 2.4 ghz, 4 gb memory, 512 mb video NVIDIA). So my system surely isn't the issue.

As of Mint 12, the version in the repos doesn't run and I cannot compile it by following the included instructions.
