You can quickly view and filter arbitrary TTF, TTC, OTF or Type1 font files and then gather them together into 'pogs' which can be installed or removed as needed. In this way you control which fonts are installed on a per-project basis. It is written in Python and WxWidgets.

Lacking, Locks in looking for files. Had to force quit every time. While this is the only font manager that actually lets you browse a large font archive, it does not do so effectively and you cannot activate anything unless you add it to a so called 'pog'; and in that, it is also not suitable for full scale desing work or common daily use.
